Where to board the tourist bus in Barcelona

Plaça de Catalunya is the main starting point for both operators, but it is not the only place you can get on.

Short answer: start at Plaça de Catalunya. It is stop 1 of both Bus Turístic routes, City Tour's last departures of both routes leave from there at 19:00, and the night and Christmas tours depart from the same square.

Barcelona Bus Turístic

You can board at any stop on the Blue or Red Route. Plaça de Catalunya is the first stop of both, so it is the easiest place to start and to change routes. Service starts between 9:00 and 9:30 at most stops.

Barcelona City Tour

The first bus runs at 9:00 and the last departure of both routes is at 19:00 from Plaça de Catalunya. Its Green Route also serves Barceloneta, Port Olímpic and Park Güell, which can be closer to your hotel.

Panoramic tours

  • Bus Turístic Night Tour: leaves at 21:30; check the departure point on your ticket.

Before you board

  • Have your ticket ready on your phone or printed, as the booking provider instructs.
  • Check service notices: Bus Turístic's Torre Glòries – 22@ stop is cancelled (alternative at 160 Carrer de Badajoz) and its Futbol Club Barcelona stop is out of service.
  • Look at the route sign on the front of the bus: City Tour's red buses show the route they are running.
